Purple Monster Zoanthid

The Purple Monster Zoanthid dazzles with a deep magenta-purple center, often flecked with white or pink highlights, and surrounded by a bright lime-green skirt for ultra-contrast and reef appeal . This bold coloration makes it a standout addition to any zoa collection

          Easy and beginner-friendly—tolerant, resilient, and forgiving in a variety of reef environments

Lighting & Flow:

• Thrives under low to moderate lighting (PAR 100–250). A gradual transition helps avoid stress or bleaching

• Moderate water flow is recommended to keep polyps clean while ensuring they remain open and vibrant

Placement:

• Best placed lower to mid-level on rockwork where flow and light are balanced. Consider creating a “zoa island” for easy propagation

Water Parameters:

• Temperature: 75–80 °F

• Salinity: ~1.024–1.026 sg (ideal ~1.025)

• pH: 8.1–8.4

• Calcium: 420–440 ppm

• Alkalinity: 8–9.5 dKH

• Magnesium: 1260–1350 ppm (can be raised slowly up to 1400–1600 ppm if maintaining Ca & Alk)

• Nitrates: <10 ppm

• Phosphates: <0.10 ppm.

Feeding & Nutrition:

• Primarily sustain themselves via photosynthesis thanks to symbiotic zooxanthellae.

• Benefit from occasional target feeding—foods like Oyster-Feast, Roti-Feast, cyclopeeze, mini mysis, phytoplankton or powdered coral foods can boost growth and color while keeping nutrients low
